Pulsatory, n. [Cf. e.m.E. pulsator (1656) one who or that which knocks or strikes, and pulsatory adj. (1613) pulsating, f. L. pulsāre to push, strike, beat.] ? A clause tending to striek forcibly, one adding force or ‘teeth’ to a declaration. —1696 Marchmont P. III 114.
