Redhibition, n. [F. rédhibition (14th c. in Wartburg), L. redhibitiōn-, n. of action f. redhibēre to take back or give back. In Eng., only in Blount's Glossography (1656), after Cotgrave: ‘the nature of the evidence leaves it doubtful whether the word has ever been actually in English use’ (OED).] The action of giving back; restitution. — 1687 Fountainhall Decis. I 462.
