Sinngining, vbl. n. [? Erron. form of the pres. p. of Sing v.2; cf. mod. Eng. sindging vbl. n. (1728), f. Singe v. 1 c, ‘to pass (a woven fabric) over a heated plate or roller, or through gas flame, in order to remove superfluous fibres, or to dress the nap’ (OED).] ?
