To make the said steeple complete and usefull for the parochin it is necessar it should be mounted three foot higher round about, and thereafter two gavels to be erected after the form and manner intended with Joseph Montgomrie, mason, and that the roof [of the steeple] should be thacked with slate, sporn, and ordeals [sic]
