Stampit, ppl. adj. Also: stampitt, -ed, stampt. [e.m.E. stampt (1600), stamped (1611); Stamp(e v.] a. Marked or embossed with an impression, design, decoration, etc. in senses 2 c - h of the verb. Cf. also Stamp(e n. 1, 2 and Strampit ppl. adj. b. Of cloth: ? = a above in sense 2 f or 2 h of the verb or ? finished in a particular manner involving stamping or beating. c.
