The dean of gild … and haill merchandis … being convenit to consult and advys … concerning the sukning of the … inhabitantis … to thair awn milvis 1636 Glasgow Chart. I ii 381.
The magistrates thereof were, at any time bygone, in the suckining, thirling and astricting the burgesses and indwellers of our said burgh 1636 Reg. Great S. 215/2.
