Sulȝ(e)art, Sulyeart, Sudlartt, adj. [Gael. soilleir clear, light, bright. Cf. 18th c. Aberdeenshire dialect (once, 1759) ‘a horse of a sulliart colour, with a black mane’ (SND, s.v. Sulliart).] Only of horses: Light, bright-coloured. —1513 Doug. xii Prol. 64.
