Udale, Uthal(l, -ell, Vuthall, n. [Var. of Outhall n.] a. attrib. With land(i)s, land held by udal tenure. = Outhall n. 1 a. Also, uthell buik (see quot.). b. Udal ownership, or the rights conveyed by this. Cf. Outhall n. 2. —a. 1575 Shetland Doc. 160.
