Unhap, n. Also: unhape, -happ(e, wnhap(e, onhap. [ME and e.m.E. unhap (c1230), vnhappe (Chaucer), ON úhapp; Hap n.1] Bad luck, misfortune. Also, an instance of this. Also, in(to) (one's) unhap, to one's detriment. Cf. Wanhap n.(1) c1400 Troy-bk. ii 2689.
