Victual(l)ing, Vittaling(e, vbl. n. Also: victal(l)ing, wictualling, -walling, vittallin, wittaling, -yng, vitaling, witualing, witling. [Late ME vitalyng (1462), victualyng (1509-10), victualing (1578), victualling (1580), vittaling (1588).] The act of supplying victual, esp. to (an army, ship, etc.); a supply of provisions or necessities. Also attrib. with hous, an eating house.(a) 1429 Ayr B. Ct. 121b.
