Accouterit, p.p. Also: accutterit, accutreit; accoutterit (accomptirit), a(c)cowterit. [f. F. accoutrer, whence also mod.E. accoutred and accoutre v. (not in use till about 1600). The spelling accomptirit is clearly due to the scribe having misread the word as accontirit.] Accoutred, equipped, fitted out. 1531 Bell. Boece I. 213.
