Arras werk, n. Also: arras wark, arras work, arres werk, aireis vark, ares wark, arrowis wark, arowis wark, arros vark; erras wark, herrais werk, herswark. [ME. arras werke (1399), areswerke (1485).] Arras tapestry; a piece of this. (Common in 16th c.) Also attrib.(a) 1494 Treasurer's Accounts I. 240.
