Confirmatioun, -acioun, n. Also: -atyowne, -ation(e, -acioune, -acion(e; -fyrmasyoune. [ME. confirmacion, -acyoun (1303), etc., OF. confirmation, L. confirmātio.]
1. The action of confirming a grant, document, etc.; in later use esp. a testament.(a) 1389 Liber Melros 449.
