Glebe, Gleib, Glyb(e, n. Also: gleibe, gleyb, gleeb(e, glieb(e, gleb, glibe, glib(be. [ME. (c 1380) and AF. glebe (1303), med. L. gleba (L. glēba, a clod of earth).]
