Gud(e)-, Guid-, Goodman, n. Also: -man(n)e, guyd-, gwydman. [ME. good-, gode-, godman (a 1300), north. gudman (a 1400), also ME. god(e) man, OE. gód(a) mon. In sense 1 properly two words, but occas. written as one.]
