Hamehald, Hamald, adj. Also: hamhald, haimhald, haymald, ham(e)ald, hammald, hemeld, hamal, hammell. [Northern ME. (once) hame hold (14th c.), ON. heimoll, -ull, -ill, homely, domestic, household. Cf. also Hamet adj.] Domestic; belonging to home or one's household, home-bred; of home or native growth or manufacture, home-produced.(1) 1513 Doug. i. ii. 28.
