Holland, n. Also: -ande, holand, hollan, holle(i)n, holane, -ene, -on, holing, hoilleing, hoeillin, holne. [ME. Holand (1427), e.m.E. Holland, Du. Holland, originally one of the provinces of the Netherlands.]
