Joup, Jowp, n. Also: joupe, jowpe. [Cf. Jupe n. and ME. jowpe, joupe (c 1300–c 1440).]
a. Chiefly, a kind of jacket or coat worn by men. b. ? Also, a kind of jacket or bodice worn by women. 1561 Treas. Acc. XI. 94.
