Just, v.2 [f. Just a. 4 and 5; cf. OF. juster (13th c.) in the same sense.] tr. To see that a weight or measure or anything which has to be exact in measurement, is ‘just’ or accurate; to correct or bring to the standard size or weight; to standardise, ‘true’. 1558 Treas. Acc. X. 437.
