Lardenare-mart, Lardiner-, Lardnare-, Lairdner-mart(t, -mairt, n. Also: lardinar-, lardner-, leardiner- and -mert. [Lardener n. 3; Mart n. Cf. Lardnamart and Ladinar-mart.]
A mart for the larder: a fattened ox or cow killed and salted about Martinmas and stored as winter provisions. In the 17th c. comb. with -kow.Commonly as part of the rent of farm land.(1) 1456 Exch. R. VI. 200.
