Mane, adv. [Cf. north. ME. man adj. (Cursor M.), OE. mān false, wicked (and see Mane-atht, Maneswer(e), also early ME. man n., OE. mán wickedness. In ME. appar. unrecorded after the 13th c.] Falsely. To swere (oneself) mane, to perjure oneself. = Maneswer(e v. 1 b. — a1400 Leg. S. xxvi. 834.
