(Nicht-,) Nycht-wach, -watche, n. [ME. nyȝt-, nightwacche (c 1400), e.m.E. night-watch(e, OE. niht-wæcce.] A watch or guard kept during the night or the persons engaged in such a watch. — 1513 Doug. ix. iii. 195.
Of the nycht wach the cur We geif Mesapus 1572-5 Diurn. Occurr. 240.
