Os-, Oismond, -mound(e, -mont, n. Also: osemond, os-, ozmund, osmwnde, oysmond, ois-, oysment. [ME. osemond (1280), ME. and e.m.E. osmund(e (1348), osmond(e (1376), med. L. osemondum (1284), osmondum (1397), of Swed. or LG. origin: OSwed. osmunder (1340) in osmunds-iærn, MLG. osemunt, -mund.]
