[ME and e.m.E. unyonn (north., 1356-7), vniown (Wyclif), ynon (c1460), vnyon (1545), ynion (1562), union (1688), f. as Onȝeon n.] An onion. Also attrib. = Ingon(e n., Ingȝo(u)n n., Onȝeon n.(a) ?14..
