Quhidder, interrog. and rel. adv. Also: quhider, quhydder, quhiddir, quhyddir, -yr, whidder. [ME hwider (c1200), quider (Gen. & Exodus), wydur (Cursor M.), whyder (c1300), etc., e.m.E. whyddur (a1500), whider (1556), OE hwider. Cf. Quhither and Quhether.]Uncommon except in Douglas.

1. interrog. To what place? whither? In a. direct, and b. indirect, questions. Also c. in (direct) rhetorical questions, with additional implications.a. ?1438 Alex. ii 7784.

Quhyddyr [E. Quhidder] is bycum sa sone thus duyly hant, And veyr translat in wyntyr furyus? Id. Æn. vi v 160.
