Raschit, Reschit, -itt, p.p. [Only in Inv. Wardrobe. Aphetic f. *Arrache v. (see Additions and Corrections, Vol. I), ? f. the place name Arras, where rich decorative trimmings and embroidery threads were made (see Victor Gay Glossaire Archaeologique du Moyen Age et de la Renaissance (1887), s.v. Arras) or ? var. of Raisit ppl. adj. and p.p. 2 b. Cf. also Ras attrib.] Decorated ? with Arras trimming or thread, or in the Arras fashion or ? with a raised decoration in contrasting thread or trimming. — 1539 Inv. Wardrobe 31.
