Sark, v. [Back-formation f. Sarking vbl. n.2: cf. also late north. ME (once) serked p.p. (gl. camisiatus, jnterulatus) (Cath. Angl.), and Sark n. 2.] tr. To furnish (a building or a roof) with sarking (Sarking vbl. n.2 2). 1583 M. Works Acc. (ed.) I 312.
The capitanis hall quhilk is presentlie theikit with leid and is sarkit abone with deillis 1623 Rec. Univ. Aberd. 283.
