Baffie. A term used in golf for a broad faced club with a spoon lift.Fif.1 1932:
Baffy. A variety of golf-club, short and stiff in the shaft and with the head spooned, used for approach strokes. This was an ordinary club in my young days at St Andrews. I believe it is not now used.
