BERTHY, BIRTHY, adj. Prolific. [′bərθɪ̢]w.Dmf. 1899 J. Shaw Country Schoolmaster 344:
Berthy [i.e. Birthy], fruitful. Said of a plant, such as a rose, full of vitality and blossom.
