1. To reap; to cut heather for thatching.Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928):
"To b[lad] de heddrek ['heather']," tabu-expr. (used by fishermen at sea) for what is comm[only] called "to strike de tekk [thatch]."

2. To cut peat.Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928):
To b[lad] de wideks, tabu-expr., sea-expr., = to fla de mør ["moor"].
