BLEED-RAING, n. and v.
1. n. An inflamed vein (in the eye).Bnff.2 1934:

2. v. To become bloodshot.Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 218; Bnff.2 1934:
His een a' begin t' bleed-raing finivver he tastes a drap o' drink.
Hence bleed-raingt, adj., “blood-shot” (Ib.).
