Surely he's been blin-led t' gang sae far aff o' the straucht.
Hence blinledness, n., ignorance of whither one goes or is led.Kcb. 1837–1902 J. Heughan in Gallovidian (1913) No. 59, 109:
Oor past mishanters and blinledness plead Wi' thee to come, effect gie to Richt's creed.
