BLUTHRIE, n.1
1. Phlegm.Sc. 1825 Jam.2:
“O! what a bluthrie he cuist aff his stamack,” what a quantity of phlegm he threw off.
2. “Figuratively transferred to frothy, incoherent discourse; q[uasi] of a flatulent description” (Ib.).
