BOILED, ppl.adj. "One whose face is bleared or 'heavy'-looking (e.g., as a result of insufficient or of unrefreshing sleep) is said to be boiled i the face, boiled-leike, or boiled-lookin" (Rxb. 1927 E. C. Smith Braid Haaick 9). [bɔɪlt. See P.L.D. §105.2.]
