BOZEN, adj. In phr. a bozen chimney, “an enclosed well-built chimney; a chimney built in the wall” (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.). Given in E.D.D. also for Ork.
[Cf. Sh. busen, of fire: big, blazing (see Boose, v.3 (1)). A fire lit under a built-in chimney with direct access to the outer air would draw better than an open fire, and therefore blaze up.]
