BRULYIE, BRUILYIE, v., tr. and intr. [′brulji, ′brylji]

1. tr. (1) “To roast on the gridiron meat that has been boiled and has become cold” (Fif. 1825 Jam.2); (2) “to put into a ferment” (Ib.).(2) Fif. 1825 MS. Poem in Jam.2:
It bruilyies up my verra blude, To hear their names profan'd.

2. intr. To be overpowered with heat.Fif. 1825 Jam.2:
