CADUAC, n. "A casualty. It seems to be used nearly in the same sense with Eng. windfall" (Sc. 1825 Jam.2, s.v. cadouk).Sc. 1819 Scott Leg. Montrose ii.:
The borrowings and lendings went on as before out of our pay, where the caduacs and casualties were all cut off.
