CASSAN CARRICHT, n. comb. Thrift, sea pink, Statice armeria (Mry. 1839 G. Gordon Flora of Mry. 11).
[Cassan from Gael. cas, a foot, stem (pl. casan); carricht = Gael. carach, winding, twisting. Twisting feet or stems describes well the tousled mass from which the flower of the sea pink emerges (Abd.22 1938).]You may wish to vary the format shown below depending on the citation style used.
