CASSINER, n. used attrib. A variant of Eng. cassimere, fine twilled woollen cloth used for men's clothes, earlier form of Eng. cashmere (see N.E.D.).Fif. 1894 W. D. Latto Tammas Bodkin, Swatches o' Hodden-Grey xxi.:
I sewed up my siller inside the band o' my cream-coloured cassiner breeks.
