CEPTION, n. A blemish or minor fault.Ags. 1762 in J. M. Beatts Municipal Hist. of Dundee (1873) 124:
The glover trade . . . shall be entitled to four pennies Scots for each ception, and one shilling Scots for each hole in each sheep's skin.
