CLEVERS, Clavers, n.pl.2 Sc. forms of Eng. cleavers, “goosegrass, Galium aparine: called also Robin-run-the-hedge” (Sc. 1887 Jam.6; Abd.2 1937, clavers). These forms are also found in Eng. dial. (E.D.D.).
