2. A disturbance in gen., an uproar.Ags. 1932 Forfar Dispatch (2 June) 3/2:
And sic a correnoy [was] i'e dresser a buddie wid think half-a-dizzen kittlins had been playin at tig in'd.

[Jam. derives sense 1 from Fr. cœur ennuyé, the heart being taken for the vital organs in general.]
