Word is gane to our nobell king, In Edinburgh where that he lay, That there was an Outlaw in Etterick forest Counted him nought and all his courtrie gay.

[Perhaps the same as obs. Eng. courtiery, a.1637, ? = above (N.E.D.). For similar formation, cf. Eng. soldiery, a body of soldiers.]
