DARK-AVISED, -ADVISED, adj. “Having dark hair and eyes. The skin need not be dark” (Ork.1 1929); “dark-complexioned” (Bnff.2 1939). Known to Arg.1 1939 (-avised), rare.Sh.(D) 1918 T. Manson Humours Peat Comm. I. 139:
After a glass or two had been drunk, the chairman of the company, a “dark-advised,” pleasant-looking gentleman, called for a toast.
Sh. 1994 Laureen Johnson in James Robertson A Tongue in Yer Heid 165:
Shö wis a peerie, dark-advised body, slim-biggit an kerryin a muckle handbag.
