1. n.

(1) A lump, a clod (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.; 1908 Jak. (1928), dungel, dongel; 1914 Angus Gl., dungl, dungli; Sh.10 1950).

(2) A lump of dough; a barley- or oatcake before it is baked (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928); 1914 Angus Gl.).
