FLYPESHARD, v. Also flip(e)-, -shaird.

1. To flay by turning the skin inside out (Bch. 1911 Abd. Weekly Jnl. (20 Jan.), flipshard). Also fig.Bnff. c.1914:
He asked his foreman if anything could be done to improve one of the men who was lazy and always late. The reply was, “Flipeshaird him.”

2. To flay by whipping. Used in threats (Abd.27 1952).Abd.15 1890:
I'se flipeshard ye, ye nickums, an I get haud o' ye.

3. To castrate (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 50)
