FYEORASKEET, n. An empty sea-shell, decaying fragments of shell-fish found on the shore (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928)). Also fig.Sh. 1879 Shet. Times (22 March):
Efter a' der plans it's fa'en inta my haands, an' wha kens bit what idder things may fa' dere tü, an' a' der upmacks may turn up inta a fyeoraskeet.
