Till ye forget ye're auld an' gatty, And be as canty As ye were nine year less than thretty.
Sc. 1862 A. Hislop Proverbs 170:
She's grown gatty, that was ance a dawtie.

[The reading in the Burns quot. is doubtful. Most editors emend to gutty, pot-bellied. The original of Hislop's proverb cannot be traced.]
