GIBBLET, n. Also giblet. An implement, tool, utensil (m.Lth.1, Dmf. 1954); “any small iron tool” (Ags. 1808 Jam. s.v. gibble). [′gɪblət]Ags. 1856 W. Grant Few Poet. Pieces 42:
Nae cookin' gibblets, but a kettle, To dish their feast.
Abd.7 1925:
When a carpenter gathered his tools together, it was said that he “geddert his giblets”.
