GLIPE, n.1 Also glibe. [gləip, gləib]
1. A newly-spawned fish (Ayr.4 1928), “a spent, sickly cod-fish” (Ant. 1900 E.D.D.; Arg. 1936 L. McInnes Dial. S. Kintyre 11, glibe).
2. Applied to anything or anyone that is very thin (Ayr. 1954).Ayr.4 1928:
